June is Shine Month!
June is Shine Month!
Every June, CARSTAR locations from across North America celebrate Shine Month! This is a time CARSTAR dedicates to raising valuable funds and awareness for its charitable cause, cystic fibrosis (CF). Stores host a variety of events at their facilities to help raise money, while also participating in other local initiatives. Whether it’s Great Strides in the U.S. or the Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History in Canada, CARSTAR is committed to helping both Cystic Fibrosis Canada and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation change the meaning of CF to cure found.
CARSTAR began fundraising for cystic fibrosis in Canada over 20 years ago, when a franchise partner’s granddaughter received a cystic fibrosis diagnosis. Since then, the CARSTAR commitment to its charity of choice has only grown, as have the funds raised. Passing the $3 million threshold for funds raised for Cystic Fibrosis Canada in 2016, CARSTAR now has nearly $3.7 million raised in Canada and looks to continue accelerating its fundraising momentum in the U.S.
One of the easiest ways to help CARSTAR fundraise this Shine Month is to visit a participating Soaps It Up car wash near you. With car washes happening in both the U.S. and Canada, you can see how our CARSTAR locations go above and beyond with these events as some have mascots, BBQ’s and even pet adoptions on-site.
Alternatively, you can donate directly to our walk websites for Cystic Fibrosis Canada or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help support us during Shine Month.
