CARSTAR Collision Repair Excellence Continues to Fuel Brand Growth

CARSTAR 2020 Highlights

CARSTAR Collision Repair Excellence Continues to Fuel Brand Growth

CARSTAR, North America’s largest multi-store network of independently owned collision repair facilities, continues focus on network performance into 2021. Despite the challenges presented in 2020, the network of independent owners within the CARSTAR family remained focused on its customers, community, and collision repair excellence. This helped fuel the success of the brand, not losing a single owner throughout the pandemic but in fact adding 13 new stores to the North American network.

“Our unique business model where collision repairers maintain their independence when they franchise, but get added resources to inform their processes, is what powers our ability to stay the course through challenging times,” says Scott Paul, Vice President of West Operations, CARSTAR. “Through 2020, our owners took advantage of any downtime to participate in industry training or certification and also give back to their communities through various initiatives.”

CARSTAR Tamco Collision had dinner delivered to its local hospital, where a customer works in the lab department. CARSTAR Hamlin in Rochester Hills, Michigan, sourced as many N95 masks as they could, to donate to its local hospital. CARSTAR Maryville provided food for all 500 staff at Anderson Hospital, while simultaneously supporting its local restaurant businesses. CARSTAR Tatman’s even overhauled its operations to support its community after a massive hailstorm impacted its town.

“Our CARSTAR franchise family is made up of business owners who care deeply about the communities they work and live in,” continues Paul. “This is demonstrated each day through the level of care and work they put into each repair, but it became even more apparent this year as owners were able to lead through adversity and give back to those in need.”

CARSTAR also upheld its commitment to its North American charitable cause, cystic fibrosis (CF), raising over $100,000 for CF research advocacy and care.

“Inspired by the organic generosity sprouting within the organization, earlier this year CARSTAR donated $10,000 to the Atrium Health Foundation in our head office city, Charlotte, N.C.,” comments Paul. “We are incredibly proud of the leadership demonstrated throughout our network this year and our sights are set on continued excellence in everything we do for 2021.”

A continued focus on operational performance, supporting its growing franchise family across all departments and raising valuable funds for cystic fibrosis research, care and advocacy is how CARSTAR plans to apply excellence in its upcoming year.
