CARSTAR Celebrates Employee Appreciation Month
Locations Across North America Award Technicians with a 3M™ File Belt Sander
CARSTAR, North America’s largest premier network of independently owned and operated collision repair facilities, is surprising 30 of its collision repair technicians with a 3M™ File Belt Sander in celebration of employee appreciation month.
CARSTAR’s employee appreciation is a part of the yearlong celebration of its 30th anniversary. Each month, the CARSTAR family is doing something unique to thank the many communities, franchise partners and employees for their continued support throughout its 30th years of business.
“We would not have made it to our 30th anniversary milestone without these outstanding technicians performing premier collision repairs in our facilities every day,” says Michael Macaluso, President, CARSTAR. “To read the various submissions from our CARSTAR franchise partners, highlighting why they value these technicians not only demonstrates the remarkable attitudes and dedication they have, but also shows how much their work means to these owners and managers.”
CARSTAR locations across North America took time to highlight why their technicians are so valued in their facility, for a chance to win one of the generously donated 3M™ File Belt Sander’s.
“We’re excited to reward 30 top technicians across the CARSTAR network for their hard work and commitment to performance,” said Mark Algie, Strategic Accounts Manager for 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division. “From the very beginning, 3M has been working hand-in-hand with CARSTAR to build the original business, remaining a proud partner for three decades. We’re honored to help CARSTAR celebrate its 30th anniversary with this donation.”
CARSTAR Employee of the Month
Positive attitude, taking initiative, open to cross-training in other roles, flexible in work load, following proper repair procedures, stepping up in times of need were some of the key attributes demonstrated by the winning technicians. Many submissions also expressed the difficulty of simply picking one technician, as they operate in a team-based environment citing that everyone likely deserves the recognition.
“For CARSTAR Thunder Bay’s employee of the month, it was an incredibly tough decision,” says Daniel Trevisanutto, assistant manager, CARSTAR Thunder Bay. “Without trying to sound like I’m being politically correct, I would nominate any one of my technicians for what they bring to the table as each one has their own unique set of strengths and weaknesses that make our store great. However, Kevin has been with us for over 30 years beginning his career as a lot porter and grown to a point to even push us managers for how we approach our staff and provide input in how we can develop our business. He has a level of loyalty that can’t be taught and a value that can’t be bought.”
“Brett began his career with us at CARSTAR of Lawrence as a young, up and coming technician back in 2004,” says Jeremy Snapp, general manager, CARSTAR of Lawrence. “He has worked hard and tireless hours, always coming in early and staying late in order to ensure work is completed. It’s quite difficult to measure the value of an employee who is not only willing to, but desires to help the shop as a whole, run smoothly, efficiently and provide a high quality of product for our customers.”
Submissions were made from British Columbia to Florida and everywhere in-between. Be sure to follow CARSTAR on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to follow this store and celebrate alongside its hard working employees across North America.
