LEAWOOD, KS (October 27, 2015) – CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts has once again earned a spot in Franchise Times® annual Top 200™ ranking of the largest franchise systems in North America. CARSTAR is now ranked 106 on the list, compared to a ranking of 112 in 2014 and 117 in 2013. The move up was due in part to increases in both sales and unit growth.
After a record year in 2014 for sales, growth and industry performance, CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts, North America’s largest multi-shop operator (MSO), announced that it finished the first half of 2015 with revenue of $386.2 million, which puts it on track to outpace its performance in 2014.
This year, CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts is seeing year-to-date same store sales increases for the U.S. of 8.3 percent. This leads the collision repair industry among all other companies, which deliver an average of four percent increases in same store sales. In addition, CARSTAR is expanding its insurance relationships, securing MSO programs with several of the top insurance carriers.
In addition, CARSTAR was ranked the top collision repair franchise and was fifth on the list of top automotive franchises – up from seventh last year -- a testament to its continued leadership in the collision repair industry.
CARSTAR’s proprietary EDGESM performance system has helped many of its stores achieve the industry’s highest KPIs, a measure of performance and operational efficiency, and industry leading customer satisfaction. Many of the CARSTAR locations repeatedly have a Net Promoter Score (NPS) exceeding 90 percent - a full 10 points higher than the industry average of 79 percent.
Last year, CARSTAR delivered North American revenue of $712 million, up nearly 10 percent from $649 million in 2013, a record for the company. It also ended the year with exceptional same store sales in North America -- up 11.3 percent over the previous year.
