The CARSTAR Arizona Business Group recently teamed up with Enterprise Rent-A-Car for their second annual charity golf tournament. The event was held at Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix with all eight CARSTAR locations from the CARSTAR Arizona business group participating.

This year’s tournament was a huge success, raising $22,000 for Make-A-Wish® Arizona. The proceeds were enough to grant the wishes of three children. One of the wish recipients, a young girl named Ellie, attended the event. Ellie has been cancer-free since having a brain tumor removed three years ago.

“She is a sweet girl,” said tournament chair Patrick Sullivan, general manager of CARSTAR Goodwrench. “She got up and made a speech in front of the golfers that brought a lot of us to tears. Her wish was to have a horse.”

Sullivan credits the help of sponsors like Enterprise Rent-A-Car, BASF, AutoNation, Hawkes Radiator, and Liberty Automotive for their help in this year’s event.

“Enterprise stepped up in a big way,” said Sullivan. “Not only with sponsorship, but also with help in coordinating the event and getting volunteers. They just did a phenomenal job to help us.”

This is the second time that the CARSTAR Arizona Business Group has worked together as an MSO for a charity event. More than $40,000 has been raised by the group this year, making a total of six Make-A-Wish grants possible for young children.
