CARSTAR is the new holder of the Guinness World Record for world's largest car wash, thanks to more than 150 stores across the U.S. and Canada's efforts to wash more than 4,000 cars on Saturday, June 20th, 2009.  One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event supported Make-A-Wish and Cystic Fibrosis nationally as well as select local charities.

The Rappaport family -- Asher, 9, Aaron, Aidan, 6, and Darcy -- are congratulated by Guinness World Records Judge Danny Girton, Jr. for being the 4,000th car to be washed in the CARSTAR Soaps It Up carwash -- setting a new Guinness World Record.

Bill Garoutte, assistant vice president for CARSTAR, accepts the Guinness World Records certificate from Guinness World Records Judge Danny Girton, Jr., for setting a new world record for most car washes in multiple venues in an eight-hour period.
